Michael Phelps in ENERGIE

November 10th, 2008

The Olympic champion Michael Phelps has recently been caught partying, at TAO Nightclub inside the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, wearing ENERGIE jeans.

Michael Phelps has won 14 career Olympic gold medals, the most by any Olympian. As of 2008 he also holds seven world records in swimming.
Phelps holds the record for the most gold medals won at a single Olympics with the eight golds he won at the 2008 Bejing Olympic Games. With this record, he surpassed Mark Spitz, who was also a swimmer and had held the previous gold medal total with the seven that he won at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.

Camper launches the Bank of Imagination

November 5th, 2008

Today we’d like to talk to you about a language you know very well: the language of imagination.

Camper have just launched a project, which, just like the imagination, frees us, tickles us, and makes us take off. A place where we walk together, imagining. This is a type of bank where people don’t keep their money or material belongings, but something much more valuable: their imaginations. It is the Bank of Imagination.

So you are invited to start imagining, sharing, browsing around what has been imagined, meet people based on their imagination and even building on what others have imagined. You’ll find it all very self-explanatory at the Bank of Imagination. Once you open the page, you register, and you can fill the empty boxes with anything you can imagine.

Sexy superheroine: Miss Sixty new SS09 collection

It’s all about being noticed…

Miss Sixty’s Spring/Summer 2009 Collection creates a new type of urban superheroine: beautiful, charming and glamorously feminine – all with an ironic tongue-in-cheek attitude.

The look is contemporary and touches on the unexpected: layered silhouettes, softly structured lines, contrasting bold graphics for big impact, new volumes.

Luxe silk and soft jersey are mixed and matched throughout the collection to create pieces that are simultaneously lightweight and comfortable yet sophisticated and polished. Nylon, in both solids and psychedelic prints, adds a touch of shine using vibrant colors, shapes and innovative materials.

Maximal fashion – glossy lips, layered hair styles, and highly accessorized, body-conscious looks – adds over-the-top glitz to the collection. For Miss Sixty, spring is sweet and soft but never saccharine.  Maxi-length skirts and dresses recall the ease of the season, while the balloon treatment is applied to shoulders and skirt hems alike to exaggerate the feminine form. Overalls, in both long and short styles, are a key item to reinforce the tough-chic attitude of the collection.

The signature fabric of Miss Sixty, denim is reinvented for the spring season with a focus on sexy, curve-hugging feminine fits.  Denim truly anchors the collection, which offers an array of washes on silhouettes ranging from shirts to jackets to dresses and one-pieces.

The season’s color palette spans the spectrum from salmon to green, violet to blue.  Classic nautical stripes are used on the diagonal and in chevrons – on styles from shirts to scarves, bottoms to bags – for a look that is posh but not precious. Butterfly prints recall the 1970s in a way that is more haute than boho while graffiti prints add a hard-edged vibe.

Miss Sixty’s Spring/Summer 2009 Collection is a modern homage to the passionate, freethinking ideals and values of 70’s – Miss Sixty’s DNA.  The collection combines sexual liberation, freedom and self-confidence – qualities that define Miss Sixty – to create an overtly seductive style that is at once boldly Pop futuristic and chicly playful.
